Try this technique for long lasting lipstick.
Outline your lips with a neutral color lip pencil. I find the ones you sharpen work better than the roll up ones. It is not necessary to buy matching lip liners for each lipstick color. You want to match your lips, not the lipstick.

Powder your face with a velour sponge, going right over the lip liner. Dust off excess from the face with a powder brush.

Load up your lip brush with the lipstick. Don't worry about keeping your lipstick intact. Lipstick applied only from the tube to the lip will never stay on all day long. Lay the color down richly on your lips and go right on the lip line you have created with the pencil.

With your mouth open, blot your lips once. The reason is twofold: One, to remove excess color and Two, to press the color into the soft tissue of the lips, producing a "stain."

When you are finished, take your tube of lipstick and go over the lips again, but stay well within the lip line. Smile and check the mirror for color on your teeth. If your first coat is too drying, make the second coat a more emollient lipstick, or tap just the tiniest amount of lip gloss on top of the second coat, again avoiding the lip line.

The most important thing is for your brows to be symmetrical. I prefer both waxing and tweezing to shape up the brows. Waxing to remove all hairs, including the fine hairs that cannot be plucked out and tweezing for precision shaping right after waxing.

To determine the ultimat shape for your brows, stand in front of amirror with a pencil and hold it upright from the middle of your nose straight up-this is where your brow should start. Then hold the pencil vertically from the tip of your nose above your iris. This is where the highest point of your brow arch should be. Lastly, hold the pencil from the corner of your nose to the corner of your eye-this is where the brow should end.

Most women experience water retention at some time. You’re hardly able to zip your jeans or worse your rings are so tight it feels like the circulation has been cut off to our fingertips!

The first thing you can do is drink more water. Water retention is common when we are dehydrated or low on water. The body tends toward conserving water, and will retain a bit in order to keep us hydrated. Drinking 8-10 glasses of water a day helps shed extra water, reducing water retention.

Parsley is a plant that can trace its origins back to the Mediterranean. A part of the carrot family, parsley has always been a mainstay in the kitchens of Greeks and Romans. Its main use is as a spice and vegetable. But it also has been known as one of the best remedies for water retention. Experts recommend drinking tea made from about two teaspoons of fresh parsley.

Peppermint Hair Rinse

This aromatic hair rinse proves especially beneficial for greasy hair of all colours, providing squeaky clean tresses. The added benefit is a subtle light and refreshing scent permeates your hair as well! Ingredients: 10 T chopped peppermint leaves. 2 pints soft water. 2 pints cider vinegar. 1. Place the peppermint leaves and water in a pan, and bring slowly to a boil. 2. Simmer for 15 minutes. Remove from the heat and infuse for one hour. 3. Strain your Peppermint Rinse infusion and stir in the vinegar. Pour into bottles. Cover, and label. Use after shampooing your hair for a delightfully clean and refreshing hair rinse!
